HUDSON, N.Y. (AP) - It's a sloppy, snowy end to the week in many parts of the country, with up to a foot of it falling in upstate New York, and an inch even on the ground in New Orleans.
Tens of thousands of customers in New York are without power overnight, and flood watches are in effect in parts of Long Island and Manhattan. Some upstate areas that don't get snow will likely be dealing with significant amounts of ice instead.
Winter storm warnings are also posted in several parts of Kentucky. It'll likely be tough moving around much of the eastern half of the state, where hazards include at least an inch of snow -- sometimes mixed with sleet -- to go with standing water and flooding.
Even the Gulf Coast has snow, with as much as 8 inches of it in Louisiana. In Mississippi, up to 5 inches of snow fell on areas south of Jackson.
