Bad weather delays Christmas travelers in West

LOS ANGELES (AP) - Travelers are stuck up and down the west coast after a barrage of winter weather shut down trains, planes, and even buses.

LOS ANGELES (AP) - Travelers are stuck up and down the west coast after a barrage of winter weather shut down trains, planes, and even buses.
Greyhound bus terminals in Portland, Ore., and Seattle remain closed, with no buses going in and no buses leaving.
More than 100 stranded passengers in Seattle have been sent to three homeless shelters or allowed to stay at the station. The situation is similar in the Old Town station in Portland.
There were long, snaking lines at virtually every western airport customer service counter.
Red Cross worker Colleen Stone in Los Angeles says she's trained for disasters and the airlines aren't. She and her family have been trying to get from Illinois to Seattle for two days.
On the rails, Amtrak could have partial service restored today on the tracks between Eugene, Ore., and Vancouver, British Columbia.
