Expect another foggy to partly/mostly sunny day this Tuesday. Like yesterday, today's sun and southerly breezes, will help boost temperatures to the unseasonable lower 70s for highs.
The warm ridge of high pressure that is bringing the unseasonable (spring-like) conditions to the Southeast U.S. will break down in the coming days. A series of cold fronts will assist this process. One front will pass through Eastern North Carolina tomorrow (a slight chance of showers with that). Another front will bring an additional chance for scattered showers to the East later Thursday into Friday.
Deep into the extended, Storm Team 9 is closely monitoring the potential for a chilly round of rainfall Sunday into Monday (highs would only be in the 40s for those days!).
