Hi, I'm Storm Team 9 Meteorologist Scott Sumner. A dry start to Thursday, will look to change as a southern storm moves towards North Carolina today and into Friday. The system's warm front will cross the East tonight bringing in more humidity and very mild temperatures. Overnight lows inland will be in the upper 50s and coastal cities will be in the middle 60s. A cold front will cross the East on Friday and showers, thunderstorms and strong winds will look to accompany the front. Daytime highs will reach to lower 70s. Once the cold front crosses the coast, drier and more stable air will follow. Saturday will look to be a dry day with highs in the middle 50s and Sunday most areas East of highway #17 could see another round of showers as another storm stays near the East. It will be cooler on Sunday, with the thermometer looking to stay in the upper 40s and the seasonable January temps will stick around through the early days of next week.
