COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - Residents of the Northern Plains are waiting for another big blow with blizzard warnings posted across the region.
They're expecting snow and bitter cold which forecasters say will eventually head toward the Midwest and Northeast where folks are digging out after a tussle with weekend storms.
Arctic air was to dip down from Canada and spread snow into Montana, the Dakotas and Minnesota before marching into the Midwest, South and Northeast by the end of the week.
Parts of the Midwest and Northeast are recovering from up to a foot of snow that caused two large vehicle pileups. There was a 59-vehicle crash in New Hampshire while 13 vehicles were involved in a Connecticut crash. There were at least four weekend traffic fatalities.
