States from New England to Tennessee and as far West as Ohio are under either frost or freeze warnings as a big high pressure dome settles in over the Eastern Seaboard.
Under clear skies, that's allowing for strong radiational cooling, setting the stage for unusual freezing and below-freezing temperatures.
