Cool high pressure will keep conditions dry to start the weekend. But, a system from the west will bring rain Saturday Night through Sunday.
FRIDAY NIGHT: Clouds will envelope the region tonight; but, temps will fall sharply ahead of time. Lows will be in the low to mid 30s.
SATURDAY: The chance for showers doing the day will be limited. The best chance for rain will move in Saturday night. Expect abundant clouds which will keep highs in the mid and upper 50s during the afternoon. Overnight lows will be well-above freezing, bottoming out in the low to mid 40s.
SUNDAY: Clouds and rain will take over across Eastern NC on Super Bowl Sunday. Temps will be a little cooler than Sunday with a high of 54. Rain chances will gradually taper into Sunday evening and night. Lows will be in the upper 30s.
EXTENDED FORCAST: High pressure will keep us mostly dry to start the week. Clouds will stick around for a good part of the week. Highs will top out in the 50s, while lows bottom out in the 30s.
