Storm Team 9: Seasonably Chilly Thursday, Colder Weekend

Hi, I’m Storm Team 9 Meteorologist Gannon Medwick with your FORECAST FOR EASTERN NCSeasonably cool and dry air will govern our weather for the remainder of the work week.  A strong cold front will pass Saturday and bring a colder air mass for the end of the weekend into early next week.

THURSDAY AND FRIDAY FORECAST DETAILS:  Expect mostly sunny skies Thursday and partly sunny skies Friday.  Expect high temperatures mainly in the low 50s Thursday and – a touch milder – upper 50s and low 60s Friday.  In between, Thursday night will feature clear skies and lows in the upper 20s and low 30s inland and upper 30s and low 40s near the coast.

WEEKEND FORECAST DETAILS:  For Saturday, expect partly cloudy skies, highs mainly in the low 50s, and the possibility of a stray shower with the passage of the aforementioned cold front.  Behind the front, expect clear, dry, and cold weather for Saturday night – with lows in the 20s – and Sunday – with highs in the 40s.
